The Minister of Power, Works and Housing alongside the Minister of Budget and National Planning and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment all convened to speak at the 2017 Business Day Economic Outlook conference, Spark reports.
Some of the issues discussed included the challenges facing the Nigerian power sector. The Minister of Power, Babatunde Fashola further decried the acts of vandalism that have so far crippled power generation across the country.
He also gave his suggestions on some of the issues surrounding the power sector, finally ending his speech by re-affirming that plans are currently in place to improve the power sector. He buttressed his points by announcing that “We have licensed 14 developers to design 1100Mw of solar power”.
