Leicester City talisman Riyad Mahrez believes that they have the quality to retain their status in the English Premier League (EPL).
The Foxes ended their losing run in the league with a convincing 3-1 victory over Liverpool FC at the King Power Stadium on Monday night.
The Algerian international was substituted with 10 minutes left on the clock with Leicester already leading 3-1 in front of their passionate fans.
“We just have to stay together and keep fighting because we know we have the quality to do better,” Mahrez said on The Independent.
But the Foxes are still two points above the relegation zone and Mahrez believes that they have the quality to avoid relegation from England’s elite league.
“We know it is a bad moment but we have the quality to stay in the Premier League,” he said.
“We have a very good squad of players and we know we can do it. It is OK.”
Mahrez, 26, and his Leicester team-mates will host fellow strugglers Hull City in their next league game on Saturday evening.
