Chelsea have turned their attentions towards trying to sign Alvaro Morata or Andrea Belotti after apparently missing out on Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in Italy.
Italian website Gianlucadimarzio.com is reporting that Antonio Conte is now set to focus his efforts on Morata or Belotti after Manchester United seemingly beat Chelsea to the signature of Lukaku.
The same report states that Conte is interested in signing either Torino striker Belotti or Real Madrid front-man Morata as he looks to shore up his attacking options.
Chelsea are thought to be on the lookout for significant reinforcements this summer, but the Blues have so far failed to land a new striker.
Morata had been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United but the Red Devils’ link to Lukaku could suggest that a move to Old Trafford is no longer an option.
With Diego Costa’s future at the club still unclear, Conte would be understandably keen to add some more firepower to his squad ahead of next season.
Conte is readying his team for a return to the Champions League next season after he led them to Premier League glory in his first campaign at the club last term.
