Lundi Tyamara Gospel singer dies at 38

South African gospel singer Lundi Tyamara is dead.

The star passed on after a battle with stomach TB and liver complications.

Times reported today, January 27, 2017, that the 38-year-old award-winning star was admitted to a Johannesburg hospital with the illnesses.
The family released a statement confirming the musician's death, saying he died in the early hours of Friday morning at Edenvale Hospital.
Lundi was reportedly admitted to hospital at first in December 2016. After news of his illness, family and friends of the gospel singer gathered often to pray for his recovery.
Tyamara is known for hits like, "Mphefumlo Wami". Tyamara's former manager, Tshepo Nzimande, recalled the success of song which was released in October 1998 and by December  had sold "18,000 copies".
"We said, 'Guys, there’s legs on this album, this is going to be big.'  The following year he was nominated as the best newcomer, and we sold over 380,000 on his debut album."
