Nigerian FA tasks Rohr to use first choice players for friendlies

The Nigeria Football Federation has tasked Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr to invite players he intends to prosecute the 2019 AFCON and the 2018 World Cup qualifiers for the friendly games.
Rohr  is planning to hand fresh call ups to a couple of players ahead of the friendly matches with Senegal and Burkina Faso in March.
But the NFF technical committee have warned against the risk.
Christian Chukwu, a member of the committee, said using the first choice players for the friendlies would enable better team understanding and cohesion before the qualifiers.
This he believes is an edge for the African champions, Camerooon having played together as a unit for two months.
