Kogi Gov. Bello has failed in first year – Melaye

As the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State reached one year on Friday, member of the Senate representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, described the state government as “chaotic” for the people of the state.
Melaye alleged that people of the state had suffered more hardship under Bello’s administration in the last one year.
The senator said this at a press conference in Abuja, which was held by ‘stakeholders’ of the Kogi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress.
The stakeholders in attendance included members of the state executive of the APC. Melaye said, “For Kogites, the past one year has been chaotic indeed and the Federal Government has seemingly not been fair to the state, putting into cognisance the very messy situation and the deteriorating conditions of the state.
“What has become the concerns of passionate Kogites, particularly the political leaders of the state, is the gory state of affairs in the state and the merchandise of justice that has pervaded the state, particularly that the state is presently experiencing its awful movement since its creation.”
According to the lawmaker, the death of Abubakar Audu, who died before the final result of the election was declared, threw the state into a legal conundrum that had no antecedent in the history of the country.
