British Queen's Sapphire Jubilee coin worth as high as £49,995

A new type of commemorative coins that are worth as much as 49,995 British pounds have been produced by Britain's Royal Mint to commemorate the Sapphire Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, marking her 65-year reign.
Altogether, eight types of coins will be made and cast, with denominations ranging from five to 1,000 pounds. Their retail prices, however, range from 13 pounds for the five-pound coin to an appalling 49,995 pounds for the 1,000-pound commemorative coin.
‍Just another day for the Queen
Queen Elizabeth, the world's longest-reigning living monarch, will spend the day at her residence in Sandringham, eastern England, her office said.

A 41-gun royal salute will take place in central London at noon to mark the occasion, according to Reuters, with another 62-gun salute at the Tower of London an hour later. The queen's office has also released a 2014 portrait showing her wearing a suite of sapphire jewelry she received from King George VI as a wedding gift in 1947.
The Queen, 90, has cut back on international tours but still regularly performs official duties around Britain. In December, she said she would reduce the number of her patronages, passing on her role at dozens of charities, academic institutions and sporting groups, to other members of the royal family.
