The Jigawa State Government has terminated the appointments of the members of the State council of Ulamas.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Jigawa State Government Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini.
According to the Statement the termination of the appointments are with immediate effect.
Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini explained that Government terminated the appointments following the expiration of the second tenure of the members.
The statement directed the former members to immediately handover all government’s properties in their possession to the Director Religious Affairs, office of the Secretary to the State Government.
The statement further commended the Council members for their contribution towards promoting unity and peaceful coexistence in the State.
