Malaysian
police have issued an arrest warrant for Kim Uk Il, a 37-year-old employee of a
DPRK airline, to assist in the investigation into the murder of Kim Jong Nam in
Malaysia on February 13.
Inspector-General
of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the police had also sent a request
through the Foreign Ministry demanding Hyon Kwang Song, second secretary at the
DPRK embassy in Malaysia, to assist in the investigation as well.
Khalid
also announced that the police would adhere to international protocol to obtain
information from Hyon Kwang Song, who has diplomatic immunity.
Two
women suspects, Indonesian national Siti Aisyah, 25, and Vietnamese national
Doan Thi Huong, 29, were charged with murder over Kim's death in the Sepang
Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a DPRK national, Ri Jong Chol, was arrested and
detained over the murder, and is to be deported to the DPRK today, sources say.
